We paired spinach powder with the 6 Cavity Silicone Goat Mold to create these adorable bars.

The natural choice for this recipe is Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base, which contains 10% goat milk.

The spinach powder is first dispersed in 99% isopropyl alcohol to get rid of clumps. It’s then added to the melted base. It gives the bars a natural, subtle green color. To complement the green hue, the bars are scented with spearmint essential oil.

Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • SFIC Goat Milk Melt And Pour Soap Base - 1 lb
  • Spearmint Essential Oil - 1.75 oz
  • Spinach Powder - 3 oz
EQUIPMENT:
  • DISCONTINUED - 6 Cavity Silicone Goat Mold - 1 Mold
  • 99% Isopropyl Alcohol - 1 bottle (16 oz by volume)
  • 8 oz Clear Bottle with White Spray Cap - 10

Instructions

You will need:

  • 6 Cavity Goat Silicone Mold
  • 20 oz. Goat Milk Melt & Pour Soap Base
  • 0.3 oz. Spearmint Essential Oil
  • 3 tsp. Spinach Powder
  • 99% Isopropyl Alcohol in a Spray Bottle

Follow these steps:

1

Chop 20 oz. of Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base into small, uniform cubes. Place them into a heat-safe container and melt in the microwave using 20-30 second bursts. Stir between each burst.

2

Mix 3 tsp. of spinach powder with a splash of 99% isopropyl alcohol. Use just enough alcohol to be able to stir in the powder and get rid of chunks – about 2 tablespoons. Mix the alcohol and powder together until the chunks are gone.

3

Add the spinach powder mixture to the melted soap base. Use a spoon to stir in the powder, making sure there are no chunks.

4

Add 0.3 oz. of spearmint essential oil and use the spoon to thoroughly stir in.

5

Pour the soap into the 6 Cavity Silicone Goat Mold. After each pour, spray the soap with 99% isopropyl alcohol to get rid of any bubbles. Allow the soap to fully cool and harden.

6

Remove the soaps from the mold. Cover in plastic wrap to prevent glycerin dew. Enjoy.
