Midnight Plum Melt and Pour Soap Project
Projects with lots of layers, swirls, embeds are awesome. But sometimes you just want to make something easy and straightforward. This no-fuss melt and pour project is just that. The soap base is colored with a blend of Queen's Purple Color Block, Black Oxide Color Block, and plenty of glitter.
The soap is scented with Galactic Skies Fragrance Oil, which is a masculine mix of lemon, lavender, and sandalwood. It’s the perfect scent for the mysterious purple color of this soap. Don’t forget to add the Vanilla Color Stabilizer, because the fragrance does discolor.
What You Need:
12 Bar Round Silicone Mold - 1 Mold
Stephenson Ultra Clear Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
Queen's Purple Color Block - 1 Block
Black Oxide Color Block - 1 Block
Snowflake UltraSparkle Mica - 1 oz
Vanilla Color Stabilizer - 1 oz
99% Isopropyl Alcohol - 1 bottle (16 oz by volume)
Galactic Skies Fragrance Oil - 1.75 oz
Fine Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter - 1 oz

- Snowflake UltraSparkle Mica - 1 oz
- Vanilla Color Stabilizer - 1 oz

- 12 Bar Round Silicone Mold - 1 Mold
- 99% Isopropyl Alcohol - 1 bottle (16 oz by volume)
Instructions
You will need:
- 12 Bar Round Silicone Mold
- 32 oz. Stephenson Ultra Clear Soap Base
- Queen’s Purple Color Block
- Black Oxide Color Block
- 1/2 Tbsp. Fine Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter
- 1 tsp. Snowflake Sparkle Mica
- 0.6 oz. Galactic Skies Fragrance Oil
- 0.6 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer
- 99% Isopropyl Alcohol in a Spray Bottle
Follow these steps:

Cut and melt 32 ounces of Stephenson Ultra Clear Soap Base in the microwave using 30-60 second bursts. Add large chunks of the Queen’s Purple Color Block until you have a highly-saturated purple shade.

Add chunks of the Black Oxide Color Block until you have a darker purple shade. If necessary, place the soap back in the microwave using 15-20 second bursts to help fully melt the Color Block. Add the black slowly so you don’t totally cover the purple.

Add 1 teaspoon of Snowflake Sparkle Mica and 1/2 tablespoon of Fine Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter. Mix in thoroughly until there are no chunks of mica.

Add 0.6 ounces of Galactic Skies Fragrance Oil and 0.6 ounces of Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Mix in completely.

Pour the soap into the mold cavities, spritzing with alcohol after each one to get rid of bubbles. Allow the bars to fully cool and harden for several hours or up to overnight. Remove from the mold. Wrap the soap in plastic wrap after unmolding to help prevent glycerin dew. Enjoy!
