These scrub bars are a treat for your skin - cocoa and shea butter hydrate while sugar scrubs away dead skin.

These bars make amazing gifts! Cocoa butter and shea butter keep your skin moisturized, and sugar and walnut shells scrub away dirt and excess oil. They're made with a touch of Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil, which smells amazing mixed with cocoa butter.

We like using these solid scrubs in the shower. Apply to wet skin and gently scrub. Rinse off and pat dry. The bars leave a thin layer of moisturizing butter on the skin. Store them in a dry place to help them last longer, or place them on a draining soap dish.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Walnut Shells - 3 oz
  • Coconut Oil - 1 lb
  • Organic Cocoa Butter Wafers - 1 lb
  • Shea Butter - 1 lb
  • Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil - 1.75 oz
EQUIPMENT:
  • 4 Cavity Hexagon Mold - 1 Mold
  • Droppers With Suction Bulb - 1 dropper

Instructions

You will need:

  • 4 Cavity Hexagon Silicone Mold
  • 2 oz. Shea Butter
  • 2 oz. Cocoa Butter
  • 1 oz. Coconut Oil
  • 4 ml Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil*
  • 10.5 oz. Granulated Sugar
  • 0.5 oz. Walnut Shells
  • Dropper

*Note:This project was originally made with Maple Pecan Fragrance Oil, which was discontinued. It has been substituted with Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil.

Follow these steps:

1

In a heat-safe container, add 2 ounces of shea butter, 2 ounces of cocoa butter, and 1 ounce of coconut oil. Melt in the microwave using 30-60 second bursts. Add 4 mL of Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil and stir thoroughly.

2

Add 10.5 ounces of granulated sugar and 0.5 ounces of walnut shells. Stir until there are no clumps and everything is incorporated.

3

Spoon the mixture into the Hexagon Silicone Mold. Place the mold in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

4

Once the bars are completely cool and firm, remove them from the mold. Store them in a cool and dark place - if they get too hot, they can melt. To use, apply to wet skin and gently massage. Rinse away with water and pat skin dry.
