Hyaluronic Body Cream Project
The combination of squalane oil and shea butter gives this recipe even more moisturizing properties. Coconut Rose Fragrance Oil adds a soft, creamy, and comforting scent. We recommend applying this cream after a bath or shower, when your skin is still slightly damp. The hyaluronic acid will help your skin retain this water, leaving it hydrated and soft.
If you've never worked with hyaluronic acid before, it's an interesting ingredient! In this recipe, it's mixed with glycerin prior to adding it to the water phase. Doing so makes it much easier to blend into the distilled water.

EQUIPMENT:
- 4 oz Amber Glass Jar with Gold Lid - 4
Instructions
You will need:
- Glass Jars
Water Phase:
- 24.3 oz. | 689 g. Distilled Water (76%)
- 0.2 oz. | 6 g. Hyaluronic Acid (0.5%)
- 1 oz. | 28 g. Glycerin (3%)
Oil Phase:

- 0.3 oz. | 8 g. Water Soluble Aloe Extract (1%)
- 0.3 oz. | 8 g. Geogard (1%)
EQUIPMENT PREP: Disinfect your utensils by dipping them in a 5% bleach water solution and allowing to dry. This includes mixing containers, your stick blender, and any spoons or spatulas that may come in contact with your mask. Your products must be as free of germs, bacteria, and microbes as possible.
Follow these steps:
1
Heat the distilled water to about 170-180° F. Mix together the glycerin and hyaluronic acid together in a small container. Add to the distilled water and pulse with the stick blender to combine.
2
In a separate small heat-safe container, combine the shea butter, squalane oil, and emulsifying wax. Heat until everything is fully melted and combined.
3
Check the temperature of both containers - they should be about 160° F. When they’re ready, tap your stick blender on the bottom of the bowl to release bubbles. Pour the oils and wax into the water and begin pulsing the stick blender for 60-90 seconds, making sure it's fully emulsified.
4
Continue stick blending until the temperature drops to about 130-140° F. Add the water soluble aloe extract, Geogard, and Natural Coconut Rose Fragrance Oil. Stick blend to combine.
5
Pour the cream into jars. Allow it to cool for about 1-2 hours with the lid off to prevent condensation. Secure the lid and allow the cream to fully cool and thicken overnight. Use on damp skin. Enjoy!
