Blue Moon Candle Project
These Blue Moon Candles are easy to create and they make great gifts. They're scented with Moon Child Fragrance Oil, which features notes of white tea, rose, and jasmine. It gives the candles a soft and alluring scent.
We topped each candle with a sprinkle of Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter. In our tests, the glitter didn't affect the way they burned. You can skip that step if you like.
To give the candles the perfect finishing touch, we added strips of Celestial Soap Wrap to the jars. We love how the blue pattern complements the glitter!

What You Need:
Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- Moon Child Fragrance Oil - 1.75 oz
- Nature Wax C-3 - 1 lb
- Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter - 1 oz
- Wick Stickers - 10 Sheets (100 Stickers)
EQUIPMENT:
- Cd-20 Wicks - 10 wicks
- 4 oz Lidded Glass Jar - 12 Jars - Case
Instructions
You will need:
- Three 4 oz. Lidded Glass Jars
- 3 CD-20 Wicks
- 16 oz. Nature Wax C-3
- 1.6 oz. Moon Child Fragrance Oil
- Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter
Note*: This project was originally done with Blue EcoGlitter, which has been discontinued. Silver EcoGlitter will yield a similar sparkle, but will look different than the photos.
Follow these steps:
1
Place each wick into the glass jar. Cut them so they're slightly higher than the top of the jar. Set the wicks aside.
2
Place 16 ounces of Nature Wax C-3 into a heat-safe container and melt in the microwave using 60 second bursts. Once the wax is about 135-145° F, add 1.6 ounces of Moon Child Fragrance Oil and stir it in thoroughly.
3
When the wax cools to about 130° F, pour it into each candle jar. Place each wick in the center of the candle. You can steady it with popsicle sticks, straws, or long bobby pins.
4
Allow the wax to cool and harden for about 1-2 hours. Sprinkle Blue EcoGlitter on to, avoiding direct contact with the wick. Let the candles finish cooling for another 1-2 hours. Trim the wick so the lid fits without smashing it. Light and enjoy. Never leave your candle unattended.
