Bakuchiol Face Cream Project
This face cream is made with Bakuchi Oil, which is rich in antioxidants, compounds that help protect the skin from damage due to free radicals.
Bakuchiol, a compound found in bakuchi oil, appears to be a natural replacement for retinoids, which are a class of skincare ingredients used to promote cell turnover. Bakuchi Seed Oil in Skincare

EQUIPMENT PREP: Disinfect your utensils and jars by dipping them in a 5% bleach water solution and allowing to dry. This includes mixing containers and any spoons or spatulas that may come in contact with your mask. Your products must be as free of germs, bacteria, and microbes as possible.
Follow these steps:
1
In a small heat-safe container, mix together Phase A - 260 grams of distilled water and 20 grams of glycerin. In a seperate heat-safe container, mix together Phase B - 40 grams of apricot kernel oil and 32 grams of emulsifying wax.
2
Heat both Phase A and Phase B - you can do this in the microwave or by filling a pan with about an inch of water and placing the heat-safe containers into the water over medium heat.
3
Once Phase B is completely melted and Phase A is about the same temperature, pour Phase A into Phase B and stick blend to emulsify. Set aside to cool.
4
Combine Phase C - 20 grams of distilled water and 8 grams of DL Panthenol. Mix until the DL panthenol has fully dissolved. Once the A/B misture has cooled to about 100 degrees F, pour Phase C into the mixture and stick blend until combined.
5
Add 12 grams of bakuchi oil, 4 grams of Optiphen (or Geogard 221), and 4 grams of vitamin E. Stir to combine.
6
Pour or spoon the mixture into jars and allow to fully cool. Enjoy!
