Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • SFIC Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base - 1 lb
  • Golden Oats Fragrance Oil - 2 oz
  • Vanilla Color Stabilizer - 4 oz
EQUIPMENT:
  • 6 Cavity Silicone Square Mold - 1 Mold

Instructions

You will need:

  • 6 Cavity Square Silicone Mold<
  • 16 oz. Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base<
  • 0.3 oz. Golden Oats Fragrance Oil<
  • 0.3 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer<
  • Oats<
  • 99% Isopropyl Alcohol in Spray Bottle

Follow these steps:

1

Chop 16 ounces of Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base into small, uniform cubes. Place them in a heat-safe container and melt in the microwave using 30 second bursts.

2

Add 0.3 ounces of Golden Oats Fragrance Oil and 0.3 ounces of Vanilla Color Stabilizer to prevent discoloration. Mix completely.

3

Pour the soap into each cavity of the mold until they're about 90% full. Save a small amount to top off each cavity. Allow the soap in the mold to cool and harden slightly - about 5-10 minutes. It needs to develop a slight skin to support the oats on top.

4

Reheat the remaining soap using 3-5 second bursts. Sprinkle a small amount of oats on top of each cavity, spritz with 99% isopropyl alcohol, and pour the remaining melted soap into each cavity. After each pour, spray with 99% isopropyl alcohol to get rid of bubbles. Sprinkle on more oats if you like.

5

Allow the soap to fully cool and harden for about 3-4 hours. Remove from the mold and enjoy!
