How long have you been making bath and body products, and what led you to create your business?
I've been making soap for almost 8 years now. I wanted to pass time in a productive way and I stumbled across a video of making cold process soap, and the rest is history!

What sets your products apart, what makes them unique?
There is so much detail and thought put into every product, from the novelty collections down to soap embeds. Also, creating based on shared interests has really brought a sense of community, fostering a sense of belonging.

Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I love brain storming soap designs and drawing them out. So many different designs can be created! As cliché as it sounds, inspiration is literally everywhere! Look at your curtains, look at nature, think of your favorite childhood snack... inspiration is everywhere!

What has been your biggest challenge to navigate as a small business owner?
As a primarily online business, adapting to ever-changing algorithms and trends might be it. If I could give advice to other makers, I would say to give yourself plenty of grace and don't let the fear of failing stop you from at least trying. If it's in your heart, if it's calling you, go for it.

You've grown your social media following to a very impressive combined 100k across all platforms. Do you have any advice for small businesses who are trying to find success and community on social media?
To anyone starting out, I would say to be consistent with whatever you're going for and to be true to your interests, no matter how niche. It keeps things really exciting and personal when it's tied to shared interests. Shared interests and community go hand in hand, so I would say overtime you find your people or your people find you.

What other makers do you admire, and what do you like about their work?
I admire Euphoria Soapworks and StarCrossed Soapery! I love the way they work with their colors and all the small details within their designs.

What are your dreams for Velvet Bubble Shop? Where would you like to see your business in 5 or 10 years?
My dreams for Velvet Bubble Shop are simple, to say the least. In 5-10 years, I just want to still be able to say I am doing what I love and it still allows me to serve others through creativity and shared interests.

What are three of your must-have Bramble Berry products, and why do you love them?

The first pick is Lilac Mirage UltraSparkle Mica. I like dusting it over the top of certain soaps for that dreamy sparkle.

The 2nd pick is the Maple Almond Fragrance Oil! It's such a beautiful and yummy scent. Ever since Bramble Berry released it, I've been such a fan.

And finally, I love the Coconut Shell Powder. I love that it can be added to my cold process soap for a gentle, natural scrub. You also get a lot of product for the cost which is great!
